Lemet SRL, Romania - Painting
In 2016, as part of a comprehensive modernization program, Lemet SRL integrated an automatic paint proportioning and dosing system from GRACO into its own painting line. The implemented solution was the Graco Promix 2KS automatic system, configured for 7 colors and 4 catalysts, connected via a proprietary Minex interface to a Cefla robot equipped with 10 Graco G40 AirAssisted automatic spray guns.
This technological solution brought multiple benefits:
- Improved process efficiency: The sequential dosing system ensures precise mixing ratio maintenance regardless of the flow rate required by the spray guns, guaranteeing consistent, high-quality application. The optimized mixing chamber, along with fast processors and dosing valves, ensures superior performance at every stage of the process.
- Increased productivity: The use of dump valves allows simultaneous washing and color loading, significantly reducing color change times and optimizing production flow.
- Enhanced energy efficiency: The advanced technology reduces resource consumption and increases operational efficiency, minimizing operational costs and environmental impact.
- Improved working conditions: Automating the process through the interconnection of the dosing-mixing unit and the application robot provides intuitive operation, reducing manual interventions and the risks associated with handling chemical materials.

The proprietary interface developed by Minex specialists facilitated seamless integration between the dosing-mixing unit and the application robot, offering a simple and intuitive user experience alongside full process automation. This implementation demonstrated Lemet SRL’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and top-tier performance in painting operations.
