Blast nozzles
Blast nozzles are a key feature of a blasting system. What makes blast nozzles so important is that:
- the diameter of the nozzle, in combination with the oprating pressure, determines the consuption of compressed air;
- the design of the nozzle (venturi or not) and the operating pressure determine the ejection speed of the abrasives and thereby the production capacity;
- the lining of the nozzle - the internal which comes into contact with the abrasives, determines the working life of the nozzle;
- the choiceof more expensive tungsten carbide, silicon nitride and boron carbide nozzles has a direct influence on the cost per square m.
Depending on the material from witch they are made??:
- nozzles TC – tungsten carbide;
- nozzles BC – boron carbide.
According to performances and constructive form:
- Standard Venturi;
- Long Venturi;
- Tetrabor 100/S32;
- Vacublast.
