The VBL Range - H Beam Welding Lines are specialized machines designed for the continuous production of welded I and T beams, whether parallel or tapered. These machines are engineered to operate with the web plate in a vertical position, ensuring precise and efficient welding. Unlike conventional methods, the process does not require tack welding, except for a small weld at the leading edge once the web plate is aligned with the centerline of the flange.
The welding process begins with the feeding of the web plate and the first flange into the machine. Simultaneous welding occurs on both sides of the web plate, ensuring a uniform and robust connection along the entire length of the beam. Once the first flange is completely welded, the section is rotated 180°, allowing for the precise alignment and welding of the second flange. This method guarantees high structural integrity and minimizes material distortion.
