Elcometer 500 – an easy to use device
Measuring coatings applied on concrete and other similar substrates has never been easier. When using the new Elcometer 500 it is enough just to switch it on, select the coating from the calibration library and take a reading – it is that easy.

Measuring over 60 reading per minute in standard mode and over 140 readings per minute in scan mode, the Elcometer 500 coating thickness gauge can significantly reduce your inspection times.
Adaptable to any application
Thanks to those 3 calibration methods available, Elcometer 500 can be set to adapt to different applications. What should you do?
1. Select the coating from the calibration library.
2. Introduce the thickness of the coating (if known).
3. Enter the speed of sound of the tested material (usually this can be found in the Product Datasheet available from the coating manufacturer).
If neither the material thickness nor its speed of sound is available, then you can create your own coating sample using the CCM.
