Romania absorbed only 52% of the European Funds available for 2007-2013

Until September 2015 Romania has received 9.9 billion EUR from Brussels, these representing 52% out of the 19 billions that were allocated to it.
As there have been few months left till the end of this financial exercise, it is clear that Romania lost an important amount of money that could have been used for developing projects especially in infrastructure (2 billions EUR) and environmental protection areas (other 2 billions EUR).
The main concern on the matter is the significant reduce of public investments, which has an important and immediate impact on the absorption capacity of European Funds.
Evidently, Romania has very few chances to reach 80% absorption rate as argeted by the local government.
