Laser cladding - the innovative MET-CLAD

Experts from METALLISATION and Lase Ltd together developed the innovative MET-Clad plating laser system. The equipment is easily operable via an intuitive control panel with integrated touch screen. The innovation is based on two tested concepts from METALLISATION: HVOF and Plasma.
Beside the fact that it is easy to use, this new equipment is able to respond to new levels of complexity associated to coating operations, or barcode linking ones – all easily programmable by an operator.
MET-CLAD has a series of advantages but maybe one of the most important ones is the fact that it has the ability to finely control the heat input on the surface and the coating material, allowing a deposit of Metal Matrix Composite Structure. This means that the coating can have a softer, lower melting point material in situations in which usually a harder wearing, higher melting point material is needed.
