Fume extraction in a metallurgical workshop

Situation:

In a professional school where welders are trained, the workshop designed for practical activities is surrounded by classrooms, where theoretical studies are taking place. The workshop itself is small (350m2) and the decision to use a big vacuum unit was therefore extremely justified. Furthermore, the noise level and the filtration capacity needed to be above normal standards due to the activities in the surroundings.

Solution:

The option was to install an E-PAK system with 12 extraction arms and automatic valves. Beside that, special nozzles have been used and the equipment was delivered with a damper for noise reduction.

Benefits:

The extraction arms system is extremely flexible being therefore very efficient especially in small places. Adapting the technical solution for noise reduction made it possible for it to be easily and successfully integrated in the workshop.

The frequent use of the extraction arms keeps the workshop clean and save even so there is an intense activity taking place in it.
