Fume extraction in a metallurgical workshop

Quiet and Efficient Fume Extraction in a Welding Training Workshop

In a professional school dedicated to welder training, the workshop designed for practical activities is located right next to classrooms used for theoretical learning. Covering a surface of just 350 m², the space required a compact yet powerful extraction system. The decision to implement a high-performance vacuum unit was crucial—not only due to the size of the space but also because of the strict noise and filtration standards required in such an educational environment.

The chosen solution included:

  • an E-PAK central vacuum system
  • 12 extraction arms with automatic valves
  • special nozzles for precise fume collection
  • a noise reduction damper integrated with the equipment

Key benefits:

  • high flexibility of the extraction arms, ideal for compact workspaces
  • quiet operation, ensuring no disturbance to surrounding classrooms
  • efficient filtration of welding fumes, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • seamless integration into the workshop layout, without structural changes

Thanks to the frequent and proper use of the extraction arms, the welding workshop remains clean and safe—even under intense daily use—demonstrating that tailored extraction solutions can meet both educational and industrial standards.
