Efficient heating! Save money and fuel!

The fuels become more and more expensive. Therefore the heating in industrial halls has to become more and more efficient if we want to save money. There are series of solutions that can be put into place, but not all of them are suitable under any conditions.

Indirect combustion heaters

This type of equipment includes a thermal regulator, meaning that the heated air is not implied in the combustion process and the gas emissions are extracted through a pipeline, which plays the role of a smoke stack.

They can be installed both inside and outside the building. The choice depends o series of factors. In case the smoke stack cannot be feed from the outside of the industrial hall, or if the heater would make too much noise in the inside of the building, then the equipment is supposed to be installed outside. In this situation, the hot air will be transferred into to interior thorough a pipeline. As a consequence, it is mandatory to always have the possibility to feed a pipeline with a diameter of 30 to 60m, able to organize the transfer of hot air from the outside to the inside. This is made possible through replacing a window with a wood panel in which a suitable hole is to be constructed.

Interior installation

The most efficient way would be to install the heater inside. Feeding with fuel should be organized through a pipeline connected to the exterior of the building. This solution ensures that all the air in the room recirculates through the heater, which means that the equipment will process less cold air, than in the case the outside placement. Furthermore, the heating process itself will take less time and will need less fuel. Anyway, in this case one needs ventilation systems due to the fact that the oxygen in the room is consumed during combustion.

The Thermobile equipment has an efficiency of 92%. Only 8% of the hot air generated within the process is usually lost.

Exterior installation

There are series of situations in which outside installation is more preferred by clients. The disadvantage consists in the fact that a bigger quantity of cold air (from the outside) is to be processed and the overall temperature achieved inside will be anyway lower than in case of interior installation.

Air recirculation

An important quantity of fuel can be saved using the so-called recirculation pipelines. This allows reintroducing partly or completely the hot air into the room. The solution can be put into place if one chooses to use heaters with centrifugal or radial ventilators. Depending on the equipment, one or more recirculation pipelines can be fitted. If there are more connecting points, one can opt for total or partial recirculation of the air.

In most cases it is recommend to organize the air recirculation only partly, in order to permanently introduce fresh air into the room.

All IMA equipment from Thermobile, that contains radial ventilators can be connected to one or more recirculation pipelines. Evidently, the bigger the air volume to be recirculate, the more fuel will be saved within the heating process.

The length of the pipelines is supposed to be as small as possible outside the building, for the hot air that is to be recirculated to not have time to cool down.

Using heaters with recirculation functionality (no matter if placed outside or inside the industrial hall) will generate 30% energetic savings.
