Technologies for floor processing
Using the closed circuit blasting equipment, which includes a recovery unit for abrasive materials, represents a very efficient formula for surface treatment. During the last years, blasting with steel shoots became the most utilized method for processing hard surfaces such as streets and airport tracks.
Actually blasting is the ideal solution for:
cleaning and preparing the stone, metal, concrete and asphalt surfaces before applying any other layers on them
removing old cover layers during repair works
eliminating old layers and rubber elements from highways and airport tracks
removing the marks from public streets, tracks and industrial floors
improve the grip performance and therefore the traffic conditions on streets, bike tracks and walking areas
All BLASTRAC blasting machines use a closed circuit system for abrasive recovery and a dedusting unit that works while connected to a compatible vacuum unit.
How does it work? Basically an important quantity of abrasive material is shot on the surface to be treated. The abrasive is afterwards recovered and reintroduced into the circuit after being previously cleaned of dust and other contaminants. These particles are eliminated with the help of a separator and collected in a dedicated BLASTRAC vacuum unit.
The most essential advantage of this technical solution is the fact that the recovery process reduces the quantity of abrasive used for processing a specific area. In comparison to the classic blasting procedure this one offers the possibility to reduce the quantity of used abrasive up to 75%.
