Smart Fume Extraction Solution for Dutch Truck Components Manufacturer in Portugal
A Dutch company specializing in truck components decided to expand its operations by building a new factory in Portugal. One of the key challenges was identifying an effective solution for capturing welding fumes, which are critical to control in order to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
The company selected a Nederman-based extraction system, consisting of:
- 10 Original extraction arms, each equipped with automatic dampers
- Sensor-controlled operation, allowing flexible use of the collecting unit as needed
- A FilterMax 6000 unit, installed in combination with an NCF 80/25 ventilator (11 kW),
- all managed through a frequency inverter for optimized airflow control

A major advantage of the proposed solution was its expandability—with the option to later add 6 additional extraction arms. This flexibility, combined with the energy savings ensured by the inverter, made the Nederman system the ideal choice for the new production facility.
The result: an adaptable, efficient, and energy-conscious fume extraction solution tailored to support long-term industrial operations.
